It also is a beautiful picture of identification with His death and resurrection, showing that your old life is behind you and your new life in Christ has begun.

Ask around and find a good Bible-teaching church, then speak with the pastor about being baptized. Many Bible-teaching churches regularly hold baptism services and would be glad to help you take this important next step.

Lord Jesus, I have asked You to be the Lord of my life. Please lead me to the church You would have me attend, so that I may be baptized and grow in my walk with You. Amen.
