Noah’s Ark
Noah’s Ark
Bible Passage: Genesis 6:9–22; Genesis 7:1–24; Genesis 8:1–22; Genesis 9:8–17
God saw that the world had become very sinful, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a man who loved God and obeyed Him. God told Noah to build a great ark because a flood was coming, and Noah listened even though the job was big and the world around him was not following God.
Noah obeyed God, and God kept Noah, his family, and the animals safe through the flood. After the rain stopped and the waters went down, God placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise. This lesson teaches us that obeying God matters, trusting Him is always right, and God keeps His promises.
Memory Verse:
“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:8 (KJV)
Hands-On Activity:
Make a simple ark craft from construction paper or a small box. Color the ark and add pairs of animals. If you would like something even simpler, draw a rainbow and write across it: God keeps His promises.
Children’s Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for the story of Noah and the ark. Thank You for showing us that You care for those who trust and obey You. Help us to listen to You, obey You, and remember that You always keep Your promises. Amen.
